Harvey Scholl, Esq. has been engaged in the private practice of law in the state of Florida since 1974, with a primary focus on secured  transactions involving real estate, mortgage financing and banking law.  Representative clients over the years have included developers, mortgage and real estate brokers, banks and other mortgage lenders as well as buyers and sellers of residential and commercial real estate.  Mr. Scholl is an issuing agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, past director of the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers and holder of an active Florida Real Estate Broker’s license since 1972.  During the real estate boom of the nineties, Mr. Scholl founded and ran a national document preparation service bureau to which lenders outsourced preparation of more than ten thousand mortgage loan closing packages.  Additionally, Mr. Scholl formed a captive title insurance company in partnership with a major south Florida homebuilder, handling real estate closings from five offices spanning both Florida coasts.  Mr. Scholl combines his years of business experience together with an understanding of the law to assist clients with debt related issues in the current downturned economy.

Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Green worked for a United States Congressman in the capacity of a congressional liaison where she represented constituents to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly known as INS), as well as, the Department of State. Having lived abroad for some time, Ms. Green shared her experiences with numerous organizations by giving seminars and lectures. She later worked on Capitol Hill as a legal intern for the firm Whitten, Hamburger and Whitten where she handled a variety of administrative legal cases.

In early 1990, Ms. Green was hired as an Assistant State Attorney in Broward County, Florida where she acted as a litigator on behalf of the people of the State of Florida until November 1992. Shortly after Ms. Green began working as a sole practitioner before venturing off to form The Law Office of Jodi B. Green, P.A. where she handled a variety of legal cases with a particular emphasis in Immigration Law.  In this capacity, she worked with clients from all over the world, to successfully establish businesses and homes in the United States for foreign nationals. Later on she also began working as an agent for Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund before founding her own real estate closing company; Atlantic East Title, Inc. The company was in operation for about nine years and was responsible for escrows and closings in excess of 100 million dollars. In 2008 Ms. Green and her company were awarded the President’s Circle Award by Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund.

Yaacov Vaknin is an Emery Scholarship recipient and has completed his legal internship at the Community Legal Services of East Palo Alto and Gates Eisenhart Dawson of San Jose, CA. He has lived in different countries and speaks several languages. His exposure to different cultures has geared Yaacov to focus his career as an immigration attorney and work with clients of varying countries. Branching form which he has assisted many of those clients with real estate transactions and closings.
